In class today a plethora of new things from the presentation. I learned that there is not only negative propaganda but public propaganda as well. Some positive propaganda are anti smoking ads, HIV/Aids awareness ads etc. More modernly propaganda is used to create your Tik Tok and Instagram for you page. 

• The rich feed into the issue of Malinformation
• The Smith Mundt Act being overturned allowed foreign and domestic propaganda to be legally spread
• False flagging is an active form of propaganda where people pretend to be something they are not to send an incorrect message to the public
• Alternative Media is when independent sources report local and niche news not pushed by major companies
• Echo chambers are groups of people who consume and share media that reinforces the way they think instead of allowing all sources of information
• A whistleblower is a person who reveals wrongdoing in a company or organization but more specifically government
• Citizen Journalism is the community playing an active role in collecting, reporting, analyzing and spreading news and information.
• Spiral of silence is not speaking out because you are afraid people do not think or believe the same things as you; self censorship.
